In autumn of 1999, in Tottori...

Meiko looks for Meicoomon in the woods around her house, and finds her in the bushes. Meicoomon says that she was scared, and Meiko boops her nose. But unknown to Meiko, a pool of blood and a pile of feathers in it remain in the bushes she'd left behind...

At home, while Meiko gives Meicoomon a bath, she gets scolded by her mother for letting Meicoomon stray too far, and Meiko says that she'd wanted Meicoomon to play somewhere with more room. She wonders if her father would get mad, but her mother says that they'll keep it a secret for now.

Meiko's mother spots blood marks on Meiko's shirt, but Meicoomon's paws seem to be clean, and they pass it off.

At dinner, Meiko's father tells her that he'll be taking Meicoomon to the research lab, because members from the Tokyo research institution will be coming. He says that it'll only be a day or two...

But once Meicoomon is transported to the lab, with Himekawa present, Meicoomon suddenly goes berserk, in front of a visiting Meiko. Meiko's father, injured, tells Meiko to run, but Meicoomon appears in front of Meiko...and suddenly snaps back to her senses, and cheerfully goes to greet Meiko.

From the distance, Himekawa watches...

Back in the present, Meicrackmon continues to rampage. The distortions start to fill in the Digital World again, and an image of the water from the quantum sea.

The mysterious man says that Meicoomon should have never been born...but he had been waiting for her to be born.

The kids and their Digimon look at the distortion holes in the sky, and see images of the real world in it, and Digimon start flying in...

Meiko regains consciousness and looks at Meicrackmon in the sky. Meicrackmon sees her and starts to lunge down to attack her.
